The 26th North Carolina Seafood Festival officially opens on Friday evening, October 5th at a waterfront celebration adjacent to the Morehead City public docks. A buffet featuring local seafood caught by North Carolina fishermen will be prepared by the best known chefs in Carteret County. State and county public officials, Seafood Festival sponsors and local fishers will be honored guests as we celebrate the men and women of the North Carolina seafood industry. An official painting commemorating commercial fishing will be presented to the Town of Morehead City. Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
