Get ready to walk down the waterfront with the sun shining on your face, and a North Carolina Shrimp Burger in your hand as you stroll past the smell of fish frying and the sound of music from jazz to the hand clappin’ rhythms of Down East. Come and do your Christmas shopping early from some of the most unique artist and handcrafters on the East Coast and beyond.

Of course we have not forgotten why you came to this Festival! The Seafood will be truly abundant again this year, with everything from Shrimp, Crab and Oysters, to stews, salads and sandwiches filled with various seafood delights.

Friday night kicks off with the sounds of the 80’s from The Breakfast Club on Main Stage. Fast & Explosive rides and a Fish Fry for Habitat for Humanity, along with every store on the waterfront open with plenty of seafood to fill your tummy and shopping to fill your appetite for maritime trinkets. Friday night is FUN Night!-Don’t miss it!

The Morehead City Waterfront will come alive on Saturday with the sounds of Country Music Star ~ STEVE HOLY and his #1 Hit ~ Brand New Girlfriend. Other hits Steve will be performing include Don’t Make Me Beg, and Good Morning Beautiful from the Jennifer Lopez movie Angel Eyes that topped the charts for five weeks!

No slowing down on this waterfront, only a kick into High Energy as The Waller Family blasts on to the Saturday night Clam Jam Stage! You will not stop dancing for one minute while they are performing…so bring those dancing shoes-the ones with the electricity built in! At 9:00 you will need to stop to enjoy the top Fireworks show in the state exploding over the water—better than the 4th of July ~ We promise!

For Sunday, carry your shaggin’ shoes, for once again, we will bring you the forefront in Beach Music with our Beach Music Sunday. The Craig Woolard Band and The Attractions will closeout the Festival all through Sunday with an array of be boppin’ Beach tunes to carry back home with you.

Running shoes are required for Saturday at the Twin Bridges 8K Road Race, but have your fishin’ pole tucked in your back seat! You have a choice of fishing off one of the few remaining North Carolina Piers at the Oceana or fishing off the Surf of the Crystal Coast at Atlantic Beach to help benefit Gingers Halfway House. More fish but of the Red Drum kind will be competing for the big bucks at the ESPN 2 Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Fishing Tournament. Come watch the competition heat up and show your pearly whites on ESPN2 as filming will be right on our very own waterfront!

If catching fish is not your style, you can always venture to the Coastal Today area to fill your cooler with some fresh Carteret County shrimp to take home and cook. Visit the Carteret Catch tent to taste your FREE SAMPLE of Carteret Caught SHRIMP. Taste the difference, there will be no going back to imported seafood!

If your looking for a new BOAT or a vehicle to pull that boat, you can find both at the Southern Outer Banks Boat Show! As the “Vehicle Partner of the North Carolina Seafood Festival” Carolina Chevy Dealers will be there with a new set of wheels from trucks to convertibles to suit every taste and budget. Boat Dealers will have all types of Boats from Bay Boats by Triton to Skiffs and up to 32’ of “nothin’ but boat”. There is a boat there waiting just for you!

Carteret County’s fishing fleet pays homage to the men and women today and in the past who risk their lives supplying us with the bountiful ocean harvest, with The Blessing Of the Fleet on Sunday at the North Carolina State Port.

Bring the kids to visit our beloved big red lipped fish ~ SasSea at her very own “out of the way” Island Playground. Storytellers and a fossil dig to playtime with the Carteret County Partnership for Children Volunteers are all loads of maritime fun, for those tikes. Give those kiddies a chance to get out of those strollers and run around and stretch their legs. There is even a changing area too for the tiniest attendees!

As always it is ALL FREE and open to the Public! Everyone Come and “Catch the Excitement” at the North Carolina Seafood Festival!- Free parking at the North Carolina State Port!
