Blessing of the Fleet

A time of celebration and thanksgiving as we give thanks for our state’s resource of Seafood.  It is also a time when we pay tribute to those who bring the seafood to the nation’s tables and to those who have lost their lives on the water making their living.  More than 30 boats participate in the ceremony representing the Crystal Coast and neighboring counties.  The Morehead City State Port hosts this celebration of the waterman’s heritage at the pier’s edge. Free and Open to the public.
